Santa is making an early appearance in Clyde next month.
The stage is set, lines perfected and final preparations are under way for the Central Otago Children’s Theatre’s mid› year production, Santa’s Midwinter Dream.
Written by Clyde playwright Karin Halliday and directed by Pat Lines, the production will be held at the Clyde Memorial Hall from August 5›7.
The cast consists of 12 children aged between 8-13 years.
For 11›year old Milla O’Kane, the production was an opportunity to do something fun.
‘‘I’ve done it before and it’s really a fun thing to do, and it’s a really good environment to be in as well,’’ she said.
‘‘It’s very creative and I love just expressing myself.’’
Maddison Mannox (12) had been involved in children’s theatre before, having grown up around her parents’ friends who were involved in the arts.
‘‘I’ve done a bit of drama academy before and I just kind of grew up around it.’’
