Como Villa Estate owners Pam and John Chapman are ready to host guests this weekend at the biennial Art in the Garden event.
The estate, a historical site dating back over 150 years, is one of seven stops on the Art in the Garden tour being held this Saturday and Sunday in Alexandra.
Held every two years and organised by the Alexandra Community Arts Council, the event not only opens private gardens to those attending, but features a wide variety of artists with their works for sale and a range of musicians showing their skills.
This year’s event centres on the Earnscleugh Rd area with Earnscleugh Hall as a central point. The hall will also sell tickets throughout the day — cash only.
A Devonshire tea is included in the ticket price.
The public toilets will be open.
A barbecue will be available at Como Villa from 11am› 3.30pm, cash only.
Advance tickets can be bought online at artinthegarden23.floktu.com and the gardens will be open from 9.30am, with the tea served from 10am-3pm.
