Wanaka wine and food lovers rejoice — Ripe is back.
The Wanaka Wine and Food Festival returns in March, after Covid restrictions forced the cancellation of the 2022 event.
Held at Glendhu Station, the festival features some of Central Otago’s best wine and food producers and will have plenty on offer from wine and food tastings, demonstrations and live music.
Master of Wine Bob Campbell will present a practical demonstration of wine and food matching, and there will be master classes from wine expert Joelle Thomson and best-selling authors Two Raw Sisters.
Ripe organiser Nathan White said he was excited to be showcasing what the region had to offer, including some of New Zealand’s premium wineries.
‘‘We can’t wait to showcase the world-class Central Otago wine and food producers, surrounded by the majestic scenery of Lake Wanaka, to our guests coming from near and far,’’ he said.
Buses will available from the Wanaka town centre.
